Presented by Blair Thomas & Co.
spanning venues throughout the city
The Bi-Annual Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival was founded to ignite the imaginative power of puppetry and create a shared community for audiences and artists alike. The Festival presents performances, provides access to the process of creation, and facilitates discussion around the form and tradition of puppetry. This biennial event is the only international puppet theater festival offered in any American city, and secures Chicago’s place as a leader in the arts while providing visitors and residents with unparalleled access to the rich world of puppetry. The Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival is a program of Chicago-based theater company Blair Thomas & Co. Founded in 2002, Blair Thomas & Co. is internationally recognized as a contributor to contemporary puppetry through incorporating musical, literary and puppetry traditions to create uniquely expressive spectacle theater.
